Today is moving day. I'm trucking a bunch of stuff over to my new place and getting ready to settle in for the summer. It's a beautiful day here in Victoria and I am going towards the gloom of Vancouver. April sure has been a gloomy month but hopefully when I get back from Toronto summer and spring will start to peak. I'm in the midst of planning my own camp as a fundraiser for the senior indoor and outdoor field hockey teams. Check out the poster I made to help campaign for it:
I'm going to be on the ferry in about 2.5 hours but I've been thinking about how hard it is for athletes to get the money they need to "reach the podium" and Canadian Athletes Now pretty much sum it up in these two commercials:
