I am grinning from ear to ear because I've overcome another hurdle around the beep test. I made my standard on the first try and I am so happy! I was a lot better prepared and now, I can continue to move on and move forward from this! For once, I don't have to re-run it in order to go on tour. It's a grand feeling.
On another note, my cousin Jessie, who has been in Africa for the last 2 years, has moved to Vancouver bringing our cousin count to about 4 on the mainland. I guess 3.5 since I am part-time. Anyway, Jason, Jess and I got together for some sushi and it's so funny to see how we have all grown up.
Yesterday was our first "day back" at training full-time and we had the beep test, a one hour goal setting meeting and a 2 hour practice that went until almost 10:15pm at night. It was a great session but I must admit that I am a little rusty. I haven't really trained outdoor since the Chile series back in July and indoor wasn't exactly helping me along the way. In fact, I am worse (injury wise) in my shoulder now than I was before the Chile series, thanks to that blue rubber floor in Venezuela that we played on.
I went to the UBC Hospital today and it seems that there are no ligament problems in my shoulder so, we continue treating the subscap and other rotator cuff muscles hoping that all goes well for Commonwealth games.
I just wanted to thank everyone who has been donating online. As of today I am up to $755 of donations in my name! It is absolutely unreal and I know this going to help get us to 2012!!! If you would like to donate online simply click on the following link:

Other than that, it's training, yoga and lots of physio! We are heading to Moksha Yoga Vancouver today and bidding our Victoria practice a temporary fareewell. We will be back though!
