Homeward Bound.... Almost

Hi Everyone,

I only have a very short time to briefly update you. We just scrambled around to finish all our packing and signing out because we are going to the Closing Ceremonies REALLY soon! Today, Zee, Sheena and I broke free and took a "tuk tuk" or a motorized "rikshaw" to the Taj palace hotel because our good friend Sherry raves about this jewelry shop across the street from the hotel. Everywhere was closed beacuse of the opening ceremonies but somehow we got the owner's number and she came and opened up shop. Good thing, because we spent quite a bit of money buying some great silver jewelry made with some traditional Indian gems. After that, we hired a cab to take us to the India gate, the president's gate and a few other places in Delhi just to get some photos and see a bit outside the Village. It was pretty hot but it was well worth it.

We are scrambling around now to get things ready and done so we can head off. Zee and I fly to Brussels and then to Hamburg where we will embark on the first of our ten days in Europe. I am excited to be out of India, on our own and hopefully able to explore a lot more!

That's all for now. I'll be without phone and internet for a few days so I hope all is well and do e-mail me updates when you get time: alilee05@gmail.com

Pictures to come
