Canada 3 - Mexico 0

I am not going to divulge into the game today. We won 3-0 but I wrote the game report that will be posted on the Field Hockey Canada Website, so I'll just say that I had a pretty good game. I played all but the last 5 minutes of the game, again at LD. I am feeling a bit more comfortable there but there is, as always, a lot more stuff to work out in order to successfully outlet from our back field... Especially since a lot more teams are going to pour on the pressure during the tournament. I can't believe we've been here for four days already and the tournament hasn't even started.

I am getting pretty excited for it to all begin because once you're in a game in a tournament you really, REALLY dig deep to play hard and fight to win. I got a super nice email from the Beale family... (So shout out to Rosie, Doug and Heidi). They were wishing me luck in an e-mail but in REALLY big font... so that gets double points! I know the Junior Pan Am girls are also following closely and will be cheering for us too!! Not much else to report. We did a contrast ice bath tonight that was SOOOOO COLDDDDD but will help us tomorrow. We have a pool recovery in the morning followed by a practice at 11:30am. Then we take the afternoon off and gear up for.... BELGIUM on Friday. Can't wait!!
