Barquisimeto... I think I spelled that right

We arrived at the Caracas airport at 8:30am today for our 10:30am flight but good think our flight didn't actually get in the air until almost 12:30pm. Brutal. It was hot and our backs were sore from our backpacks. Cregan did, however, entertain with his awesome magic card tricks! That was definitely a crowd pleaser. So, finally we got off into the air and did our puddle jump to Barquisimeto (I really hope I am spelling that right. After that we headed to the hotel which wasn't too far. We met our liasion named Daniella or "Dani" as she prefers. Her english is great and come to think of it, everyone we have run into has had pretty good english. Unfortunately, some of the airport people high-jacked our brand new walkie talkies from their mesh bags. They obviously saw it on the scanner and then ripped open the bag to get them. They also stole a pair of new court shoes from one of the girls and also an adidas men's watch from our coach. Luckily I had nothing worthwhile in my bag ... depending on what you consider worthwhile. I'm glad they didn't steal my peanut butter.

We had our first practice at the Dome and the floor is REALLY STICKY! You can't do the deceptive sweep or any drag. We are going to try and tape our sticks tomorrow so that we can drag our sticks along the ground. It was definitely a set back in my first practice but hopefully tomorrow will be a lot better. We are going to play Venezuela in an exhibition match at 10:30am. Should be good!

Below is a little snap shot of our day. I was just doing some video taping casually to test this out but hopefully there will be more to come! Enjoy... sorry for the blair witch style filming on the bus.
