Sunny and Sweaty

It has been 4 days since we first arrived in Santiago, Chile but it feels like we have been here for over 2 weeks. Since getting here the girls have hit the turf for two-a-days or at least a work out + practice. In that time, I've been doing my work outs and re-hab exercises for my shoulders. Not only has my rehab and training got me busy but so is all the video prep work that I am learning to be ready for tonight's first game against Chile. The girls are playing at a different Club, The Prince of Wales Country Club, instead of Manquehue Club so, it might interesting to play on a different turf. Every pitch is a little different - whether it be the speed, bounce or how hard it is.

I've gotten very little to no studying done on this trip which isn't that great. I plan on hitting the books soon but for now we have a lot of coding to get to! The girls have had meetings, sessions with our sports psych, Dr. Richardson, and lots of work outs. So, I think they are ready to go!

I'm definitely eager to get back out on the pitch. In one of the practices, our athletic therapist let me have 10 minutes of dribbling (pain-free range) and I even got to hit a few balls. So, I am confident I will be practicing with no contact when we are in Vienna for Champions Challenge. I can't wait to talk to the surgeon to see if I can get cleared to do a lot more!

More updates to come but check out the videos I posted while down here:
