Hunting is never easy...

I'm a little indecisive right now about what I am going to do post-WCQ. When we return we are going to be participating in a "Super League" where elite athletes (Former, current and potential national squad members) will be competing on four teams for a practice thursday and 2 games Fri and Saturday for four weeks. I support the league and am definitely excited to get some games but it seems that I will only be required to be in Vancouver for a few days a week. Hence, VICTORIA and my favourite, BC FERRIES ... a little more often.

First of all, what am I going to do Sunday-Wednesday in Victoria? Second of all, stupid ferries never change prices (or if they do, its always UP) and I'm not thrilled about commuting so much with all the crap that I always cart around. Anyway, I think I'm going to be on the hunt for two things:

a.) A place to live either end of May or starting June that I'll rent out in Vancouver until at least September (Commonwealth Games)
b.) A part-time job in Victoria for April and May where I can work Sunday-Wednesday for some amount of hours.

Crap. San Jose just scored and it's 3-2 now for the Canucks. Close game. Lou is having a tough time, man! I'm not going to blame him solely - I haven't really been watching the game but I hope they hold out!! 3:08 left in the third! Go Canucks! For some reason watching Canucks doesn't quite have that same adrenaline rush and excitement, especially after watching Olympic hockey. Obviously, no comparison but still.. I think I was a more dedicated fan a few years back. Now, I've lost interest with all the new players coming up. I'm still a big fan of Kesler, though. I met him during the Olympics and that was a huge highlight.. I think I have a photo somewhere.

Anyway, back to the job / house hunting... Craigslist, UsedVictoria, Kijiji.com... I have become all to comfortable with those sites. It's amazing what you can find on there. I wonder how people used to do this without internet! There are also so many stupid scams on there and it becomes difficult to siphon through. Oh well, at your own discretion and common sense, I suppose. The searches, though, are almost addictive. I can spend hours on Craigslist sometimes looking for things... It's awesome! Almost "green" how things get recycled or re-sold and not thrown out! You can makes some bucks off almost anything! Get ready because my 13.3" Macboook (2008) and my Blackberry Pearl 8130 will be on sale when I get back from San Diego!!!!!

Today was spent being a taxi driver. I had to drive out to AK Pro and pick up some gloves for our DPC unit, which ended up not fitting any of us so we are going to get other sizes from Ontario. I got to drive out to the ferries with rush hour traffic to pick Katie up. No sense making her late for video session by making her bus with all her luggage for San Diego. We had a video session to watch Belgium and France video tapes vs. Ireland. Then I drove Katie back home.

Lots of driving, so I am tired. I had to fill up gas today too - second time this week. What does that tell you.

Henrik just got hooked on his way to score in an empty net. ... NO PENALTY!? lame. Oh well, they won 3-2.. barely. hoorah!
