A loss is a loss...

A disappointing start to the World Cup Qualifier but hopefully an early turning point is coming our way. I didn't think we played terrible today at all. I thought, as our coach said, we put in a solid effort but there must be a difference somewhere because we are now 3 points shy from Belgium. It was a tough battle and I think when you aren't able to create many scoring opportunities the game because very reliant on defense.

It was a tough loss today with even one goal being questionable and our defensive PC unit messed up on the second goal. So, maybe things in our control but considering the number of 25y entries they probably had I think we really defended well. Having said that, as a team we need to be accountable for what happens and what we create in the opponent's end. It's just a matter of fact. We will always be scoreless if we only defend. We must attack as a unit as well.

That being said, it was a solid effort by the team. Tired bodies and lots of heart out there and tomorrow an upset is coming Korea's way. My internet time is going to run out so I thought I would keep it short. You can visit all the game reports and lots of photographs from the match on the Official Website.

It's rest time now for me now :) My first real 70 minute full game in a long time so... good news I am alive and survived it and the mental hurdle is over... Bad news I need to be diligent about recovery because another 70 could be coming my way... and its against korea!!!

Wish me luck.
